The University of Tübingen houses the largest number of scientific collections at a German university. In its more than 70 specialized collections, it preserves more than 130 sub-collections as well as unique treasures from various disciplines: From the cast collection to the zoological collection, from astrophysics to dentistry. The University of Tübingen is also the only university in the world with a share of two different entries in the UNESCO World Heritage List (40,000-year-old Ice Age art and wetland settlements/pile dwellings in the Alpine region) and an entry in the Guinness Book of Records (oldest giant wine barrel). On this page you will find most of the collections with their locations and possible opening hours listed alphabetically by their names.
