Sammlung der Anorganischen Chemie

The collection of experimental preparation of inorganic chemistry consists mostly of objects used by Wilhelm Johann Schlenk (1879–1943).

Schlenk was a German chemist who taught at the University of Tübingen from 1935. The objects kept in the collection are strongly influenced by the so-called “Schlenk technique” developed by Schlenk. It characterizes a chemical working method with which substances sensitive to air or moisture can be processed under exclusion of atmospheric oxygen and humidity. Some old Schlenk vessels containing substances were found during remodeling work. In addition, the experimental preparation of inorganic chemistry has an extensive collection of chemicals stored in historical glass bottles.
