Human Physiology Collection

The Physiological Institute in Tübingen was founded in 1853. Previously, this discipline was part of anatomy. From the very beginning, the institute received 400 guilders annually to build up a collection of apparatus for teaching and research purposes. In addition to a historical collection of apparatus in the institute and individual objects in the History of Science Collection, which date from different periods, a closed collection of photographs on microscopy has been preserved from the 1980s and is now kept in the University Archives.
