Chart Collection of the ENT Clinic

The chart collection of the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic in Tübingen comprises around 120 individual items. The majority of these panels, some of which are over 100 years old, date from the 1960s. Most of them are one-of-a-kind pieces that were manually produced by artists in collaboration with physicians and signed and dated at the end of the design process in a manner comparable to paintings. Among the scientific illustrators and graphic artists who created the boards of the ENT clinic are names such as Gerhard Halbritter (1908–2002), Karl-Heinz Seeber (1924–2005) and the Tübingen artist Theodor Baumann (1855–1932).
