Printing Plate Collection

The printing plate collection consists mainly of metal printing plates etched in zinc and aluminum. They date from different periods and were made for printing various publications and journals of the university. The university magazine “Attempto!” originally used this technique, as did older formats, such as the “Tübingen University Newspaper: Information and Reports”, which was launched in 1980. Printing plates were used in such and other publications, for example depicting the city map of Tübingen.
