Schmidgall Collection

The Schmidgall Collection goes back to Georg Schmidgall (1867–1953) from Stuttgart. His main occupation was as an administrative officer. At the same time, however, he also wrote and researched the history of fraternities. It was in this capacity as a student historian that he made an name for himself. In the course of his life, he accumulated a large collection of studentica. A part of his estate was donated to the University Archive in Tübingen, including photos, silhouettes, pipe bowls, and printed matter.
