Troia-Vortragsreihe in Stuttgart
Evidence coming from older and more recent western Anatolian excavations demonstrates exchange relations with the Aegean and central Anatolia but also more distant areas in the Levant. The finds coming from sites located on the Aegean coast, especially, such as Troy, Beşik-Tepe, Panaztepe or Miletos, show that the role of this area in Late Bronze Age networks, both regional as well as interregional, was underestimated in previous research, both in terms of maritime routes along the coasts and land routes connecting the Aegean and inner Anatolia.
