Museum Ancient Cultures

Museum Ancient Cultures

Admire many superlatives of cultural history such as the oldest figurative art of mankind (UNESCO World Heritage "Ice Age Art") or the oldest musical instrument in the world. Learn more about the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Pile Dwellings", the Egyptian offering chamber of Seschemnefer III, the "Tübingen Hoplite" and the Malanggan artworks from New Ireland.

The Museum of Ancient Cultures strives to make its collections, buildings, programmes and services accessible to all audiences.

In the courtyard of the caslte there are several disabled parking spots available.

The Museum of Ancient Cultures is accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who can't use stairs. A stairlift and a ramp provide access to all levels of the exhibition. Visitors with disabilities can use mobility aids such as manual and electric wheelchairs, walkers, walking sticks and crutches in all areas.
