Stone Age Workshop
The “Stone Age Workshop” by Marek Thomanek offers children, adolescents, or also adult groups great activities. Additionally, to the basic module “Everyday Life of the Stone Age”, painting on leather can be learned, as well as the production of a leather pouch or a Stone Age knife. Guaranteed fun for young and old!
Basic Program (Duration 1,5 Hours)
The event starts with a guided tour of the collection. The development of the human and the life in the Stone Age are thereby the centre of attention. Then the Stone Age tools and material are presented. Everything is allowed to be touched and examined closely.
Further Modules (Each 1 Hour)
In order to keep the knowledge, acquired in the basic program, it is recommended to join a practical part which teaches you the working methods and techniques of our ancestors. The production of a Stone Age knife, the sewing of a leather pouch and the designing of jewellery as well as the drawing on leather in the case of children belong to the standard activities. Furthermore, the hunt with a bow and arrow and the spear thrower can be tried out in the Schlossgraben.
