The highlight tour presents the museum's most impressive exhibits: animal miniatures made from mammoth ivory around 40,000 years ago – the oldest works of art known to mankind (UNESCO World Heritage Site), finds from the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the pile dwellings and the Celtic fortress of Heuneburg, as well as a large collection of antiquities and the ‘Tübinger Waffenläufer’. Ancient Egypt is represented by the walk-in sacrificial chamber of a tomb from the Old Kingdom, and a coffin with a star clock that is unique in Europe. The Knights' Hall, with around 350 casts of Greek and Roman sculptures, is considered one of the most beautiful cast collections in Germany.
Price: €3 + admission
The tour lasts about an hour, registration is not required.
